  1. Worst thing packed–I once brought a brand new Creme de la Mer only to have it stolen from my bag. I was so upset–I had just received it from my sister for my birthday, I hadn’t even opened it yet–I had wanted it for so long and i never even got to try it!

  2. What a cute travel prize! I think the worst thing I ever packed in a quiet travel bag was a watch, it kept going off, the alarm was set for like every 5 minutes and drove us crazy!!

  3. The worst thing that happened to us was my shaving cream and shampo busted and got all over our clothes so we had to wash all the clothes in that suit case.

  4. I don’t know what I was thinking when I packed an ink pen with my daughter’s notebook. She decided to color on the back of the carseat with it. Whoops!

  5. Flying across the pond I packed a little flashlight for my 1 yr old. Saw suggestion on net and thought it was a good idea – NOT! He pressed the button and the light went in all of our neighbors eyes and annoyed them. oops.

  6. The most troublesome was a small elephant I got to bring me luck on my journey. I was stopped at each airport because they couldn’t figure out what that elephant was made of and had to do extra screening.

  7. Pop tarts, it is so lovely when they broke them in half dropped some nice filled crumbs stepped on them and melted into my floor carpet, just lovely! HAHAHA

  8. I packed chocolate and it melted….need I say more

  10. My worst mistake was forgeting to pack a change of clothes for the baby in the bag we had with us:(

  11. I packed a paint with water coloring book one time and it was a disaster because the entire back seat was soaked in no time.

  12. Four children later, and I can’t remember a thing that ever became a disaster from what I packed or didn’t pack.

  13. I made the mistake of packing crayons on a hot summer trip and they left them out in the back and they melted!

  14. I brought a bag of gummy bears, not realizing that when they got hot they would melt together and make one huge gummy lump!

  15. Packed a jar of cream in my suitcase and when I opened it – it was everywhere…had to do some serious laundry :(

  16. soda and beer in a suitcase with unpressurized cabin! needless to say I had a big mess on my hands when I got to my destination!

  17. A capri-sun pouch that had a hole in it. All of the paper art supplies were soaked and unusable. Oops!

  18. The worst thing I’ve packed is…forgetting to pack anything! I had all the necessities, but totally forgot things for the car to keep us all busy, boy that was a long trip!

  19. My kids would say the worst thing I ever packed was nothing – of course they want a full travel kit for a trip to the corner store. I am going to say peanut butter cups. Hot car – bag of peanut butter cups – children unwatched in the back seat… EWWWWWWWWWWW!

  20. My kids always seem to put thing in my purse. My husband had just bought me a purse that he got while deployed to Kuwait and my son put a bottle of red juice in my purse and did not put the lid all the way on it. It spilled all over in my purse and thankfully I was able to clean it,but it ruined all my papers inside,

  21. the worst thing I packed was this baby oil type bottle that exploded! And that made quite the mess, the oil was over everything and would no come out! suelee1998 @

  22. Markers that leaked all over everything. I guess they got 2 hot in the car. What a mess:(

  23. My son once found a red permanent marker in my purse I was letting him play with. Our van still has red marker marks on the ceiling.
