On Thursday evenings in the Salt Lake Tabernacle, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir holds rehearsals that are open to the public. On Sunday mornings at 9:30, visitors can listen to the choir’s weekly broadcast. All of these are free of charge.
In addition, Salt Lake City boasts the impressive Hogle Zoo, the Great Salt Lake for which the city is named, and a myriad of shopping and dining opportunities. A short distance from Salt Lake City, tourists can visit the ever-popular Timpanogos Caves or hike Mt. Timpanogos itself. Families will find that there is much more to see and do than they can pack into just one visit to this enchanting city.
