State park lodges can be one-stop shopping for big family vacations. The parks’ multiple activities make for easy vacation planning with plenty to do for the whole family. Ohio has 5 state parks with lodges, however only 4 have accommodations for big families.
Maumee Bay Lodge and Conference Center in Oregon, Ohio

North Wing Loft Rooms – Located in the north wing of the lodge, these rooms allow you to enjoy beautiful views of the lake. Bedding includes 2 doubles and 2 singles – sleeps six
Cottages
Two-Bedroom Cottages – The first level includes living area, kitchen, bathroom with shower (no tub), and two bedrooms. One bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and the second with a bunk bed. The two-bedroom cottage includes a second story loft, with two twin beds. This cottage can sleep up to six people.
Four-Bedroom Cottages – The first level includes living area, kitchen, bathroom with shower (no tub), and two bedrooms. One bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and the second with two sets of bunk beds. Two additional bedrooms and bathroom with shower (no tub) are found on the second level. One bedroom on the second level includes a double bed and the second is furnished with a bunk and a twin bed. This cottage can sleep up to eleven people.
Activities:
Facilities include fitness rooms, racquetball/wallyball courts, game room, children’s programs and more will keep everyone busy. Outdoor activities include bike rentals, boat rentals, fishing, and hiking. Swimmers have their choice of the year-round indoor pool or outdoor pool. The indoor pool area features kid-friendly splash park fixtures. Lake swimming is easily accessible at the inland lake with 1,500 feet of beachfront, as well as at the nearby shore of Lake Erie.
Dining:
Several dining options are available. The Water’s Edge offers full-service continental cuisine. The Icebreaker Lounge offers snacks and light fare. During the summer season, additional venues like the Pro Shop Concession and the Bayside Snack Shop are available for casual fare.
Deer Creek Lodge and Conference Center in Mt. Sterling, Ohio
Take the time to get away from it all and visit Deer Creek Lodge and Conference Center, just 30 minutes south of Columbus, Ohio. Surrounded by more than 3,100 tranquil acres, Deer Creek Lodge naturally inspires a change of pace.

Deer Creek Cabin – Two bedroom cabins with one queen in one bedroom and two sets of bunk beds in the second to sleep 6.

Deer Creek Lodge & Conference Center offers a wide variety of activities and adventures for all ages. Try tennis, volleyball, basketball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, our playground, miles of hiking trails, or one of the indoor or outdoor swimming pools. You can also head down to our 1,300-acre lake for unlimited-horsepower boating, waterskiing, fishing, and swimming.

Onsite dining includes Rafter’s Restaurant featuring upscale cuisine to traditional dishes.
Salt Fork Lodge and Conference Center in Cambridge, Ohio
This massive pine beam and stone lodge captures the atmosphere of the grand park lodges built at the turn of the century. Salt Fork Lodge & Conference Center is tucked away in the rolling hills of southeastern Ohio, in Ohio’s largest state park. The lush wooded surroundings boast miles of recreational trails, wildlife, and impressive views of the sparkling lake.

Bunk Rooms -These cozy rooms sleep six and include two double beds and one set of bunk beds.
Chalet Cabins – Two bedrooms: one bedroom offers a queen-size bed, the second offers two sets of bunk beds accommodating six. Includes kitchen and private hot tub.
Lakeside Cabins – Two bedrooms: one bedroom offers a full-size bed, the second offers two sets of bunk beds to sleep six. Full kitchen is included.
Hillside Cabins – Two bedrooms: one bedroom offers a full-size bed, the second, two sets of bunk beds to sleep six. Full kitchen is included.
Activities:
Try tennis, volleyball, basketball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, the playground, or 14 miles of hiking trails. You can also head down to our 2,970-acre lake for waterskiing, fishing, or swimming. While you’re there, rent a boat at one of two marinas and enjoy power-boating, sailing, or canoeing. Salt Fork has indoor and outdoor pools as well as an indoor hot tub. Swimming is also available at the lake’s 2500-foot beach, the largest inland beach in Ohio.

Punderson Manor Lodge and Conference Center in Newbury, Ohio
Punderson Manor Lodge & Conference Center is a historic English Tudor-style mansion located in the natural splendor of Punderson State Park, just 50 minutes southeast of Cleveland.
Accommodations:
Parkside Cabins
Two-bedroom cabins with private parking are nestled in the woods and will accommodate up to six people. One bedroom has one queen-size bed while the second has two sets of bunk beds. A fully equipped kitchen is included.
Activities:
With its picturesque setting and abundance of activities, Punderson Manor is a great escape any time of the year: relax at the indoor and outdoor pools; wade at a sandy beach; discover over 14 miles of hiking trails; play tennis, volleyball, and basketball; or enjoy a challenging round of golf on the 18-hole championship golf course.
