SixSuitcaseTravel lists 7600 hotels that can accommodate big families; I’ve reviewed and manually entered them all. Every hotel can sleep at least six in one room without the need for a rollaway. The link I list for each property is where you can find the room I found that will sleep your big family.
However, sometimes it can be a little tricky to find the appropriate room. A simple search on the linked website may not produce the room you’re looking for. Try these tips if a simple search doesn’t produce the results you’re looking for.
- Book early. Some hotels may not have many rooms that can accommodate big families, sometimes smaller hotels may only have a few rooms that will sleep 6 or more. If the room type you’re looking for is already booked, your search result might not show that option.
- Search for 2 adults and 2 kids. I know this doesn’t make sense but occasionally a smaller party search will show the bigger rooms. For Booking.com links, search for 3 adults and 3 kids.
- Check out the room descriptions page. Marriott brands have a “Rooms” tab on the top menu ribbon. If you click on that you’ll find all their room options and bedding type (example shown below). Hilton brands will have a menu choice called “Rooms & Suites”, click on that and then click on “View All Suites”.
I hope these tips help you in your hotel search. The most important of course is to start your search with our database of big family hotels for 5, 6, 7, 8. We did the research for you!
