We stayed the week of Thanksgiving &#8211; Sunday through Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The hotel website said that the public areas would be undergoing renovation and they weren&#8217;t kidding. This wasn&#8217;t just new carpet and a fresh paint job, they had gutted the whole entire main level.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassysuitesconstruction.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-8364\" src=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassysuitesconstruction-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"embassysuitesconstruction\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassysuitesconstruction-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassysuitesconstruction-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The staff had to make do with holding breakfast and the evening reception along the hallways of the mezzanine level. Breakfast was still very good with many hot and cold choices along with made to order omelets. However the evening reception was a disappointment, only offering two items and veggies with dip with no hot items at all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/bayviewembassy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-8357\" src=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/bayviewembassy.jpg\" alt=\"bayviewembassy\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/bayviewembassy.jpg 960w, https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/bayviewembassy-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">We had asked for a bay view room, we were given room 1209 which is a corner bay view room. The sitting area was half the size of a normal room. Since we were staying with six and didn&#8217;t want to be cramped, we went down to ask for a different room. We were offered a city room with an upgrade to Premium Suite status.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8354\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8354\" style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/suitedifferences.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8354\" src=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/suitedifferences.jpg\" alt=\"suitedifferences\" width=\"550\" height=\"391\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/suitedifferences.jpg 2000w, https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/suitedifferences-300x213.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/suitedifferences-1024x728.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8354\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Suite 1209 vs 403<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The Premium Suite status is a $30 package that includes Wifi (normally a $12.95\/day charge) and access to free snacks. I didn&#8217;t want to give up the bay view but with 4 teens, the free Wifi and snacks convinced me to move to another room on level four with <\/span>half<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> city, half bay views.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassysuitespremiumsnacks.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-8356\" src=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassysuitespremiumsnacks.jpg\" alt=\"embassysuitespremiumsnacks\" width=\"450\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassysuitespremiumsnacks.jpg 2000w, https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassysuitespremiumsnacks-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassysuitespremiumsnacks-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassysuitespremiumsnacks-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassysuitespremiumsnacks-60x60.jpg 60w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I don&#8217;t recommend the Premium Suite upgrade. The free snacks were just a glorified vending machine with a bowl on top with a few pieces of fruit. The inventory of the machines didn&#8217;t seem to be monitored as the water choice was out Sunday &#8211; Tuesday until I said something to management.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I was indecisive about renting a car, there is only valet parking which is shocking $40\/night; which almost doubled the daily rental of our van. However, I like having the convenience of a car but I would suggest exploring other transportation possibilities. Attractions such as the zoo and Coronado beach are a short 4-5 miles away as is the airport. And the USS Midway museum and Hornblower bay cruise are within walking distance.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8370\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8370\" style=\"width: 680px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassyroompics.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8370\" src=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassyroompics.jpg\" alt=\"embassyroompics\" width=\"680\" height=\"158\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassyroompics.jpg 3000w, https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassyroompics-300x69.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sixsuitcasetravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/embassyroompics-1024x238.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8370\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A second vanity is nice to have for teens<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">My kiddos enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub although they said both were on the cold side. Located onsite are a Baskin Robbins and a Dunkin Donuts. Also onsite is the PFC Bar &amp; Grill.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I would stay here again.
