Hotel Details

The Disney Magic is the company’s oldest sea liner, and the one which gave the company such prestige in the cruise industry. Originally built in 1998, the ship was refurbished in 2013 and gives a more intimate feel than its much larger sister liners, only carrying 2,700 passengers. This may be a perk for larger families as keeping track of young children would be significantly easier with less passengers on board. Additionally, the Disney Magic has more destinations by far than its two newer sister liners, the Fantasy and the Dream, with itineraries in the Bahamas, Western Caribbean, Europe, Western Mediterranean, and Eastern Mediterranean. With so many different destinations, the Disney Magic offers families far more choice in where they would like to visit, how long they’d like to vacation, and how much they’d like to spend. Departure ports vary between Miami, Barcelona, Dover, Copenhagen, San Juan, New York, and Quebec City depending on the itinerary.

The Disney Magic offers a variety of entertainment activities to keep the whole family busy from sun up to sun down. The Disney Magic is known for its live action pay, Tangled: The Musical, a delightful pastime for the mini princess in your life. The ship also features three heated pools on bard including a family favorite, Goofy’s Pool tailored specifically for kids with two whirlpools and night-time movie parties. Of course, a staple for any Disney cruise liner are the characters on board. With less space and guests than a Disney park, characters on Disney cruises can devote more time to individual children. Make sure to snap a picture with a princess, or say hi to the Mouse himself at all times of the day in the atrium or in an open space by Prelude’s.

Don’t worry parents, Disney Magic has you covered as well. From the adults only pool sun deck to Las Vegas style Productions and lounges, parents are sure to have a memorable vacation too. For a little alone time, make sure to take advantage of the professionally staffed group babysitting on board.

The Disney Magic is a cruise for the young, and the young at heart. With the magnitude of cruise itinerary options, you’re sure to find the perfect cruise vacation for your big family.
