Comfort Inn Lumberton

We were on a road trip and had no reservation for our drive day. We called the hotel (after first calling another "Suites" hotel) and were happily greeted by Ursula. We requested a room for 2 adults, 4 children, and an infant. She said they had a 2 doubles available but could upgrade us to 2 doubles with sleeper sofa for $5 more. We reserved our room. Once we arrived we were again warmly greeted and swiftly checked in.Once settled, hubby ran out to the car to get diapers (yes we forgot them in the car). When he returned to our room we quickly realized the door was broken. He was locked out and the other 6 of us were locked in. After maintenace could not get the lock fixed, Ursula contacted a locksmith, who swiftly had our door open. This entire incident lasted a max of 40 minutes. For our inconvenience we were moved to another room and only charged $40 for the night. (We did not ask for a discount because we felt it was really no inconvenience, but the hotel insisted.) We had a wonderful night stay and had plenty of extra pillows and towels. The next morning we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast that was beyond the usual stale bagels and jelly. Breakfast consisted on waffles, several cereal choices, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, biscuits, sawmill gravy, yogurt, bagels, jelly, toast, juices, milk, and coffee. Needless to say we highly recommend this hotel. It was very clean, all doors to the rooms opened to the inside of the hotel, and the staff consistently went above and beyond our expectations.
