Hotel Details

Refurbished in 2016, the Norwegian Dawn is a fun-filled cruise which travels to the Bahamas, Caribbean and Bermuda on 7, 9, 10, 11, and 14-night journeys. These more lengthy sailing dates are perfect for those looking to escape and for filling long school vacations. The cruise departs from a variety of ports including San Juan, Tampa, and Boston dependent upon the destination and itinerary. With a 2300 passenger count, the Dawn is a medium sized ship, perfect for a more intimate sailing experience.

Kids can swim the day away in the main saltwater pool on deck 12 complete with four whirlpools and occasional live entertainment. A kids-only pool on the same deck called The T-Rex Kid's Pool featuring three water slides, water sprayers, a hot tub, child size deck chairs. Parents should be very aware however there is NO LIFEGUARD on duty in the kids' pool. Also, you must bring a towel from your cabin to use at the pool. As with most Norwegian cruise liners, the kids and teens clubs, Splash Academy and Entourage respectively, are a huge hit. Activities, games, and other fun events for kids. The teen club features movie nights, dance parties, and a teens-only brunch.

For parents and older passengers, the Breakaway has more than enough entertainment options to keep you busy for a 14-day trip (so many, you may not even get to try them all!) Theater and traditional cruising entertainment fans will enjoy professionally staged extravaganzas once or twice an evening. Daily fun activities are present all over the ship including games, trivia, dance classes, and art auctions. There also onboard wine tastings available for an extra fee. The onboard casino and numerous lounges add up to an exciting date night will no kids. For those who are able to stay up later, the Dawn offers a variety of spots to enjoy long after sunset. For parents, group babysitting is available on board for those in need of alone time.

Each ship has a variety of fun activities for the whole family, so be sure to check your ship before you cruise to view what's available. Whether you're 8 or 80, there's no reason not to have fun on your getaway at sea; before breaking off into everyone's activities, enjoy some time together by planning to meet for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

This is the time to make memories and nothing could be more memorable than setting up a shore excursion for the whole family. Plan your shore excursions ahead of time for the best chance at booking your top selections.

*Please note that it is often cheaper to book two staterooms or two connecting cabins instead of one large stateroom suite - plus it gives you a second bathroom.*
