Hotel Details

The Norwegian Epic is a 19-deck cruise liner with a focus on variety. With endless options for entertainment and food, it might be wise to bring a coin to flip to help decide what to do next. The Epic travels to the Western Mediterranean, Bahamas, and the Caribbean. With departure ports varying between Port Canaveral, Barcelona, and Rome depending on the itinerary, your family can decide whether to board in the US or abroad.

Kids can swim the day away in the main pool on deck 15 complete with four whirlpools. The Aqua Park also on deck 15 has three water slides, one with a 200-foot chute dropping into the pool below. The Splash and Play Zone, a kids-only area, feature a wading pool and animal sculptures for little ones. Another attraction for fans of water is the newly installed Splash Golf course, a combination of mini golf and water which is perfect for families. As with most Norwegian cruise liners, the kids and teens clubs, Splash Academy and Entourage respectively, are a huge hit. The kid's clubs set up activities, games, and other fun events for youngsters. The teen club features air hockey, dance parties, and a video game arcade.

For parents and older passengers, the Breakaway has more than enough entertainment options to keep you busy for the length of the cruise (so many, you may not even get to try them all!) Theater and traditional cruising entertainment fans will enjoy the 681 seat theater with no restricted stage views which host spectacular shows and music twice a night. Daily fun activities are present all over the ship including games like shuffleboard, morning trivia, dance classes, and a three-lane bowling alley.

For those looking to avoid splashing kids, the adult only Spice H2O lounge has its own pool and entertainment. The onboard casino on deck 6 and numerous lounges add up to an exciting date night will no kids. For those who are able to stay up later, the Dawn offers a variety of spots to enjoy long after sunset. For parents, group babysitting is available on board for those in need of alone time.

Each ship has a variety of fun activities for the whole family, so be sure to check your ship before you cruise to view what's available. Whether you're 8 or 80, there's no reason not to have fun on your getaway at sea; before breaking off into everyone's activities, enjoy some time together by planning to meet for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

This is the time to make memories and nothing could be more memorable than setting up a shore excursion for the whole family. Plan your shore excursions ahead of time for the best chance at booking your top selections.

*Please note that it is often cheaper to book two staterooms or two connecting cabins instead of one large stateroom suite - plus it gives you a second bathroom.*
