Hotel Details

The Crown Princess is one of the largest Princess cruise liners which sets out to cater to the cruising needs of all its different types of passengers. The Crown is a 3,000 passenger cruise liner that sails around to the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and Europe.  Such variety in cruising lengths and itineraries means you're guaranteed to find a cruise perfect for your family vacation. The extra-long sailing states are perfect for filling long school vacations and summers. The Crown's departure ports vary between Fort Lauderdale, Barcelona, Rome, Athens, London, and Dublin depending upon the itinerary.

Kids can swim the day away in one of the four pools, two splash areas, or seven whirlpool spas. The kiddie splash area on Deck 17 is also popular with families. Tiny animal lovers will enjoy the education Pete's Pals program which teaches kids about local endangered wildlife. For kids more interested in baking than animals, the JrCHEF@Sea program will teach kids the basics of cake decorating. Older kids and teens have their own space at Remix, a teens-only club that sets up contests, dance classes, t-shirt designing activities, and a formal dinner.

For parents and older passengers, the Crown has plenty for your vacation as well. Theater fans will enjoy the 800 seat theater which shows Broadway-esque performances, lectures, and movies. Daily fun activities are present all over the ship including art auctions, game shows, sports competitions, and poolside contests. The 20,000 square foot observation lounge is also great for relaxing and enjoying ocean views. For parents looking for a little alone time, group babysitting is available.

Each ship has a variety of fun activities for the whole family, so be sure to check your ship before you cruise to view what's available. Whether you're 8 or 80, there's no reason not to have fun on your getaway at sea; before breaking off into everyone's activities, enjoy some time together by planning to meet for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

This is the time to make memories and nothing could be more memorable than setting up a shore excursion for the whole family. Plan your shore excursions ahead of time for the best chance at booking your top selections.

*Please note it is often cheaper to book two staterooms or two connecting cabins instead of one large stateroom suite - plus it gives you a second bathroom.*
