Skyline Inn at Falls Avenue Resort

We spent the last night of our 4 night trip to Niagara Falls at the Skyline Inn on a waterpark package. Skyline inn is one of 4 hotels that offer waterpark packages to the fallsview indoor waterpark and is connected to the park by skywalk. It's also part of the large falls Avenue Resort complex.

Rooms- there are 2 options for larger families...a one room suite with 3 queens or a suite with 2 Queens and a bunk bed that's tucked in a little alcove. The top bunk is a twin and the bottom a full sized bed. Beds were very comfortable. There is one bathroom with plenty of towels and dispensers for shampoo and lotion available. We also had a small refrigerator in the room and 4 complimentary bottles of water each day which was a nice perk. There were two Tvs with one in the bunk bed area. There was also a coffee maker and a desk. Rooms were nice sized. Parking is either underground which is limited or across the way under the waterpark and I believe the rate was approx 17 dollars a day. Wifi was free and worked great. Soundproofing was not the greatest and it was noisy above and around us until 11pm then quiet after.

Hotel- skyline is one of the more moderately priced options at the falls Ave resort. It's older but rooms are clean and updated. The Skyline offers an outdoor movie in one of their courtyards each night during the warmer months. Families bring blankets and snacks and camp out. My kids LOVED this! What a nice perk! The other perks as guests of the hotel were a free family ephoto at Hershey ' s place, kids eat free at the perkins next door after 4 and a free kids meal at the planet Hollywood restaurant next door for each adult meal.

Location - the falls Ave resort is right at the base of clifton hill and easily walkable within 5 min to all of the touristy attractions there. It is also about a 5 min walk down to view the Falls in the beautiful waterfront area. It's simply gorgeous here. The Falls Ave resort complex connects the skyline with two other hotels and the waterpark. It also has numerous shops including the Hershey store, a soda shop, a pottery place and some souvenir stores. There are 2 Starbucks onsite, a perkins, rainforest cafe, planet Hollywood and a food court with a pizza hut, subway and burger place. There is also adventure city which is an arcade that also has mini golf, bumper cars and another laser type ride. We got 20 tokens and 4 passes to the laser ride the kids did and enjoyed. We simply did not have enough time to tey everything out. This is another place you can park and not need your car.

Waterpark- the big draw to staying at the skyline besides it's great location is the waterpark access. You can purchase a waterpark package with your room which allows access after 1pm on check in day until close the following day. The room package gives you 4 passes and you can purchase two more at half price from the hotel. The waterpark can be accessed via a nice lighted skyway (it's on top of the parking ramp). We had a blast at the park with something for everyone. It has a smaller wave pool, a small toddler splash pad section, a large kids area with a climbing structure and about 5 different waterslides. Our 4 year old went on these again and again. They don't allow double riders but I was able to go up with her, slide down and then the lifeguard would make sure she got on and I was waiting at the bottom. The other end has 2 mat slides and 2 body slides as well as 4 tube slides that you can use single or double tubes. Kids loved them all. There is a nice food area with good lunch/dinner options if you don't want to dry off. Finally the lifeguards here were the nicest and friendliest I have ever encountered at a waterpark!

Overall, probably our favorite night of our Niagara Falls vacation and we would most definitely stay again...so much to see and do! This area is just beautiful and magical!
