Kartchner Caverns State Park
Boasting the world’s longest stalactite formation, Kartchner Caverns introduces visitors to the mysterious world of caves. Explore the bowels of a living cave and marvel at Arizona’s tallest natural column formation. Located in Southern Arizona, it’s just a short hop from Tucson. You can experience the park aboveground through the series of trails designed for an easy stroll or a more strenuous hike or visit the Discovery Center.
Four camping cabins are available at Kartchner Caverns State Park. Each two-room cabin sleeps a maximum of six people – including children, with one queen-size bed and two sets of twin bunk beds. Mattresses are provided. You supply your own linens or sleeping bags and pillows. Cabins feature a table and four chairs, a mini-fridge and microwave, along with a heater and A/C.
Lake Havasu State Park
The scenic shoreline of Lake Havasu State Park is an ideal place to enjoy beautiful beaches, nature trails, boat ramps, and convenient campsites. The park offers three boat ramps, picnic areas, and beach area. The Mohave Sunset Trail (1.75 miles) winds its way through the lowland desert and along the shoreline. The Arroyo-Camino Interpretive Garden showcases the diverse life that exists within the park and this area of the desert. Be on the lookout for birds, lizards, and desert cottontails.
Camping Cabin Area: 13 two-three room cabins area available with beautiful views of the river. The cabins are furnished with a queen-sized bed, two sets of bunk beds, table and chairs, ceiling fan with overhead light, and electricity. Campers must supply their own linens. Each cabin also has air conditioning and heat, a barbecue and picnic table outside, plus an individual fire ring. Family-style shower facilities are only a short walk from all of the cabins.
Lost Dutchman State Park
Lost Dutchman State Park is a beautiful respite in nature just 40 miles outside of Phoenix. The park offers a variety of hiking trails, nature trails, picnic facilities, restrooms, showers, and group use areas. Several trails lead from the park into the Superstition Wilderness and surrounding Tonto National Forest. Take a stroll along the Native Plant Trail or hike the challenging Siphon Draw Trail to the top of the Flatiron.
Five two-three room cabins are available with beautiful views of the Superstition Mountains. The cabins are furnished with a queen-sized bed, two sets of bunk beds, counter and chairs, ceiling fan with overhead light, and electricity. Cabins also have heating and air-conditioning. Plan on bringing your own linens and pillows. Cabins have electricity, lighting, heating, and cooling but no plumbing. Restrooms and showers are located nearby. Dishes can be washed in the sinks behind the restroom building

Patagonia Lake State Park
Tucked away in the rolling hills of southeastern Arizona, Patagonia Lake State Park overlooks a 265-acre man-made lake where anglers catch crappie, bass, bluegill, and catfish. Twenty miles of trails are available for hiking and eight miles of trails are shared with equestrians at adjacent Sonoita Creek State Natural Area. There is a roped-off swim area at Boulder Beach, but there is no lifeguard. The Patagonia Lake Visitor Center/Entrance Station is open all year except Christmas Day.

Roper Lake State Park
Roper Lake State Park is located 6 miles south of Safford in Graham County in southeast Arizona. Enjoy desert vegetation, an accessible fishing dock, and stunning views of Mount Graham. Roper Lake is stocked with Largemouth bass and Rainbow trout. Enjoy five miles of trails in the park and nearby Dankworth Pond. Roper Lake has 30 lake surface acres, a boat ramp, a natural stone hot tub, and a sandy swimming beach.
2 cabins sleep six with a double and two sets of bunk beds. Guests must bring all linens. The cabin includes heat/electricity, ceiling fans, lights, and electric outlets. The outside has a picnic table, grill, small sink, small fire pit, and a swing. The flush toilets and showers are a short walk behind the cabins in the adjacent Cottonwood Campground.
